2024 Steveston Salmon Festival Parade

On July 1, 2024, members of the Rotary Richmond Sunset Club proudly participated in the Steveston Salmon Festival Parade, one of Canada's largest and most beloved Canada Day celebrations. Our beautifully decorated float, organized by Rotary District 5040, was a highlight among the dazzling array of floats and classic vehicles parading through Steveston Village. The event was a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of Rotary's work and attract new members to our cause.

The Steveston Salmon Festival, now in its 77th year, kicked off with a vibrant parade starting at Garry Point Park and winding through the historic streets of Steveston. Over 70,000 attendees enjoyed a full day of festivities, including live music, family-friendly activities, and a variety of delicious foods from 20 food trucks.

Our Rotary float was a testament to the spirit of community and service, showcasing our commitment to making a positive impact. We were thrilled to join other Rotary clubs from District 5040 in this endeavor, highlighting our collective efforts and the power of Rotary to bring people together.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the members who participated and helped organize our involvement in this spectacular event. Let's continue to build on this momentum and inspire more individuals to join Rotary and contribute to our mission of service above self.
