We support our local youth by providing leadership training, scholarships and service opportunities

The Rotary Club of Richmond Sunset sponsors two Interact clubs at Hugh Boyd Secondary and Steveston London secondary. Interact clubs are high school service clubs that perform service activities such as shoreline cleanups and fundraisers for local initiatives.

We strongly believe in nurturing tomorrow's leaders. For several years, we have been sponsoring students to attend RYLA, a weekend seminar that focuses on leadership training and personal growth. Additionally, we have also sponsored students to travel to San Diego to attend a Rotary Model United Nations conference. This conference helps them develop effective communication and diplomacy skills while working towards promoting peace- one of our areas of focus.

Attending University can be a financially challenging time for some Richmond youth. We have supported scholarship with the Richmond Community Foundation for a number of years, helping students to attend university and allowing them to achieve their full potential.
