Providing Cleft Lip and Palate Surgeries for Children in China

The Alliance for Smiles medical team, supported by the Rotary Club of Richmond Sunset, revisited Guiyang, China for a 2015 follow-up mission since their last visit in 2013. This mission was a remarkable example of international collaboration, where volunteers from five different countries, including the United States, China, Canada, India, and Malaysia, came together. The team successfully performed 81 surgeries on 101 children, and the total value of donated medical services amounted to $375,067. The Rotary Club of Richmond Sunset played a crucial role in raising funds for this mission.
