Richmond Sunset Rotary Club Celebrates Christmas with Potluck & Fundraiser

Our club annual Christmas Potluck Dinner was held at past Rotarian Kirby's condo party room on December 11, Wednesday 5:45 to 9:00pm.

A 13 lb turkey was ordered from Redbud Cafe with stuffing and vegetables. The turkey was juice and tasty.

A total of more than 25 dishes were served with a veal cutlet, meat dumplings, ramen eggs, Malaysian curry, Vietnamese noodles, fried rice, beef noodle, penag currie,  dessert rolls, cookies, mixed fruit platter.

A special baby gift  has been presented to our Rotarian Jun (wife Eva) for their newborn daughter Emory.

A total of 27 attended the dinner with 25 Rotarians and guests plus 2 Rotarians by online video - Jason from Hong Kong, Erin from Dawson Creek.

The use of the OWL, a 360⁰ video camera, and speaker is a very good tool in online meetings.

Christmas carol Sing was wonderful, and the live gift auction was the highlight  for the End Polio Eradication. Thank you for a special generous $500 donation from our Tsawwassen Rotarian.

A total of $1,104 has been raised.

A Rotary Peace Park Post worth $500 has been subscribed.

Good food, fun, fellowship, club business, and celebration of the holiday season are the highlights of the evening.

Thank you, our host Gill and Kirby, plus the core team in making this our joyful year-end event magically wonderful.

Have a blessed Christmas season, and Happy 2025!
