A Hometown Welcome for DG Drew Antrobus at Richmond Sunset Rotary Club

District Governor Drew Antrobus Returns to his Roots in a Heartfelt Celebration!

A wave of warmth and pride filled the Mountainview Room at the Quilchena Golf & Country Club on Wednesday, July 17th, as the Richmond Sunset Rotary Club welcomed home their very own District Governor, Drew Antrobus, for his first official club visit since assuming his new role.

This wasn't just any visit - it was a homecoming. The evening marked a special moment as DG Drew returned to the club where his Rotary journey began, now leading the charge as District Governor.

DG Drew then delivered an inspiring presentation, further igniting the passion for service that lies at the heart of Rotary.

The Richmond Sunset Rotary Club beams with pride to have Drew Antrobus serve as our District Governor. His dedication to service and embodiment of the Rotary values are truly inspirational.

The evening also saw us welcome Assistant District Governor Peter Roaf, who introduced DG Drew and his wife, Judy Smith, our District Trainer. Continuing the spirit of service, President Elect Jackie Lau presented a beautiful donation of winter clothing to Lydia Marston Blaauw from Rotary Arbutus, destined to warm those in need within Vancouver. Additionally, Kevin Li shared details about the Public Free Legal Advice program offered by lawyers, a project proudly sponsored by the Rotary Vancouver Centennial Interact Club.

26 attendees, including fellow Rotarians from the Arbutus Club, Vancouver Centennial Club, Fraserview Club, club from the Philippines, and a visiting Rotaractor from Hong Kong, joined in the celebration. Friends from the community and potential new members added to the vibrant atmosphere, eager to share in this momentous occasion.

We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who joined us for this unforgettable evening. Your presence made DG Drew's first club visit a truly special occasion.

Here's to a remarkable year under DG Drew's leadership!
